My Mom decided to get o antidepressants and a sleep medication she had been taking for over 10 years cold turkey. Three months after she stopped she began to feel extreme anxiety and insomnia. She couldn’t sleep, or eat, or drive, or sit still. She described it as “I feel like I want to jump out of my skin.” One day I listened to her on the phone and reminded her of some things she taught me. She said it was helpful and asked me to write what I said down and send it to her as she wasn’t remembering things well. This is poem is what I wrote and sent her. When I asked her what I should call it she said “Nurturing the Nurturer.” This poem is for anyone going through anxiety, you are never alone.
