I wrote this poem after my first day of scuba diving. I was amazed how much fear and panic came up in me when I went under water with the scuba gear. I wanted to quit and come back to the surface, the fear gripped me so strongly. This poem is about my fear of the water and learning to live and co-exist with it, not needing to conquer and eradicate it. I knew my love for the water was just as strong as the fear, so I let them play and dance together.
